This little applicator is a versatile tool to apply oils or pigments to your lashes and brows. Or if you grab a dozen, they can come handy as skewers for gourmet appetizers at your next party!

Why do we use Olivewood?

Olivewood is extremely hardy and non-porous. This makes it resistant to bacteria, easy to clean, and very versatile to use. The main reason we made an applicator for oils and pigments out of olivewood, is because it makes your ritual truly sustainable, olivewood would not alter the pH of your beauty ingredients (like oils) and you do not have to use disposable or plastic applicators.

How is it made?

Olivewood accessories are made by Katari artisans in the Mediterranean Tunisia. Each piece is finished by hand and it takes a while to make each applicator. Variations in sizes and shapes are natural due to the process. Wood patterns are also varied due to uniqueness of each piece of olivewood used.

Olivewood accessories are an ancient and sustainable craft. Olive trees are naturally hardy and do not splinter, making accessories incredibly durable and perfect for many uses.

  • Size: ~2.5" / ~6.3 cm (from batch to batch length might vary due to handmade process)

  • Material: olivewood from mature, non producing trees already replaced by new trees - this makes it a sustainable craft

  • Uses: apply henna or castor oil to lash line or brows or get a dozen for house parties and use as skewers for appetizers!

  • Benefits: olivewood is neutral to ingredients and will not oxidize your products, the wood is hardy and will not splinter or swell in the water. Non-porous nature of olivewood makes it resistant to bacteria

  • Tips: preferably hand wash; to restore shine - polish with olive oil
