Why olive wood is better than other wood?
  • Olivewood does not splinter, it is very hardy and makes it a great material for kitchen accessories that last a long time.
  • Olivewood is not porous and because of that is resistant to bacteria
  • Olivewood does not swell in water - great kitchen or beauty accessory that will not warp or change shape with regular washing
  • It is a sustainable craft - only old trees that do not produce olives are used for accessories and they replaced by new trees. It is the way it has been done for centuries.
  • Olive wood is not reactive - it is not going to change the pH of your recipes or your tea and oxidize them.
How to take care of olive wood?

Olivewood can be hand-washed with mild soap and air-dried. To restore the shine if you like, you can add a little drop of olive oil to revive the beautiful natural pattern.
