Questions & Answers
Why does it matter that the bowl and spoon are made from natural materials?
Mixing accesories made out of plastic or metal can interact with delicate clays and botanicals, altering their purity and pH.
Our clay bowl and olive wood spoon are neutral, artisanal materials that keep your recipes intact while adding beauty to your ritual. And they support ancient sustainable crafts in the Mediterranean!
How do I care for my bowl, spoon or sponge?
1. Care for clay bowl - rinse gently with warm water after each use - do not let clay (masque) dry in the bowl or it is just much harder to get it out. Avoid soap or dishwashers to preserve the integrity of the natural materials. Let all pieces dry fully before storing.
2. Care for olive wood spoon - handwash with mild soap and air dry. If you like, you can restore shine to the spoon with a drop of olive oil.
3. Care for your sponge - silk sponges are very delicate. Just rinse them, ring them out softly and let them air dry. Sponges are not meant to endure 'hard work' and they do not last a very long time, but with proper care you can get quite a few months out of each.
Can I use this set beyond clay masques?
Absolutely. The set is perfect for mixing any of your beauty recipes from powders and oils to simple skincare blends. Each piece is designed to be versatile, sustainable, and a joy to use.
