100% pure cold-pressed Egyptian Black Seed Oil (Nigela Sativa)

Black Seed Oil is 100% pure, cold-pressed oil that comes from dried seeds of a pretty yellow flower that grows among other places in the Delta of the Nile in Egypt. There are many names to this plant - black caraway, black cumin, black onion seed, kalonji or Nigela Sativa in Latin.

No other ingredients, additives, fragrances or dyes are in this oil. Black Seed Oil is a single-ingredient product - nothing added or taken away.

Ritual (How to Use): Apply 2-3 drops to clean, damp skin morning and night. Gently press into areas prone to breakouts, inflammation, or irritation. Can be used alone or layered under moisturizer or with lighter oils like Katari Hoba Oil.

For scalp: massage into roots before washing.

For first aid: apply directly to rashes, bites, or scrapes as needed.

MAKING OF OILS

Watch where your oils come from

from the founder

Since 2010, I’ve traveled across the Mediterranean to find exceptional beauty ingredients and traditional crafts still made by hand. In 2014, I launched Katari Beauty to share these timeless rituals with estheticians, spas, organic stores, and now directly with you.

Katari is for people who want beauty to feel simple, luxurious, and deeply connected to how things are made. I have spent years finding the very best artisans and the finest oils, working directly with them to bring you fresh, small-batch, nutrient-dense oils that truly make a difference for skin and hair. Each one is packaged in our handblown glass because this level of purity deserves better than plastic.

Questions & Answers

Can Black Seed Oil really help with acne?

Yes. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties make it one of the strongest natural oils for calming breakouts, cystic acne, and oily skin. It balances sebum and reduces blemishes without harshness.

Is Black Seed Oils safe for any skin type?

It’s best for oily, acne-prone, or troubled skin, but can be used on most skin types. Always patch test first, and use Hoba or Rosehip oils once skin is restored for daily maintenance.

What makes Katari Black Seed Oil unique?

Our oil is cold-pressed and air shipped in small batchs within days of being pressed. With a natural 0.6% thymoquinone concentration (the typical real potency, and any claims of having TQ of 3%!!! are just fairy tales), it is pure, authentic, and bottled in handblown glass — no fillers, no preservatives, no plastic.

Black Seed we source comes from the most fertile soils on Earth, from the Egypt's Nile Delta. For thousands of years the soil there has gathered nutrients coming from the African continent and the farming methods are still the same. No chemicals needed. The ancient methods still deliver the same beautiful results.
