Recipe: Rosehip & Honey Lip Masque

Katari Rubi rosehip oil pouring into a hand-blown glass amphora beside dried rose petals

Who doesn't get dry, chapped lips once in a while? The skin around the mouth is thin and moves all day, so it is often the first place to look dry. This masque treats both.

You'll need

  • 3 drops Rosehip Oil
  • 1 large spoonful liquid honey
  • 1 egg yolk

How to make it

  1. Whip. Whisk everything together until smooth.
  2. Apply. Spread over your face, paying special attention to the lips and the corners of the mouth.
  3. Wait. Leave it on for 15 minutes.
  4. Rinse. Rinse with warm water and press a drop of Rosehip into your lips.

Twice a week keeps lips soft. Between masques, a single drop of Rosehip or Hoba is the best lip balm we know.

Patch test anything new on your inner forearm first. Skip any kitchen ingredient you are sensitive to, and keep food-based masques fresh: mix them right before you use them.
